Fitness & bodybuilding: Deciding on X-Factor...

I'm really not sure whether or not to invest the $100. I'm going to buy WF/GM regardless, but I'd like some input on whether or not to throw down for the X-Factor.

Current Supps:
NOW Adam
ON 100% Whey
Fish Oils
Finishing up some GlycerGROW and Storm
Real Gains

Any advice?

If you have your heart set on PW/WF, you will CERTAINLY enjoy it. See how you like them both and when you hit a sticking point, take another look at X-Factor and see if it's something you feel confident about. I know that you'll love PW/WF.

I absolutely love PW. Haven't had any in a while, but damn, I used to live off the stuff. Great for cardio, pre workout/during workout and sipping in between meals!!!

Not particularly sure what sort of XF advice you were looking for... I suppose a bump in either direction? I just have to say, regardless which supplement/s you're looking towards using, always research the compound beforehand. Don't rely too much on what others say. If you think it's a good deal and you understand how the compound will affect your training, then go for it. But if you're uncertain, don't bother buying on impulse.

For what it's worth, XF won't be a problem with either supp. You will get strong pumps from XF so you may want to tinker with the WF dosage if you do happen to run them together... You can't go wrong either way though. Enjoy the PW/WF for a while because it's good to not take too many new supplements at once.

save up some money and get the x factor

I said Mag, not Wraath.

I think I'm gonna give it a shot eventually. Probably by the end of the month. Thanks

Oh damn. I'm so spent right now. Little sleep, hectic work day and mind blowing workout... GM is great shit. I have about half a dozen empty tubs here and don't see a reason to ever switch creatines. Off for a protein shake though!

That's a helluva lot of GM! I'm getting a little tired of the grape taste after about 3 tubs of storm, so I hope the Green Apple taste stays with me as long, if not longer than it did with Storm.

I haven't had hardly any time to keep up with my log as of late due to overtime working, but I've been working out. Hopefully once the semester starts, I'll get it rolling again. I think I'll go have a shake too haha

I'm on day 21 of X Factor right now....great pumps, and muscles are getting more and more defined by they day, not to mention solid as a rock!! Just started the Activate today also...can't wait to see the results now, as I hear they really start to kick in around this time.

For the OP, I would say try a cycle of X-Factor if you think you're ready for it......

pnstps | Thu, 27 Mar 2008 23:40:00 GMT |

i think x factor is a great investment for anyone's hard-earned money.. It works and works very well..

Nutrition-wise, of course, everything has to be in order.. . I have no doubt you have already made such arrangements.

I've made arrangements based on my knowledge. Going to be very high in protein and carbs, and I'm going to cut out my favorite food... PB I've been using natural PB all summer and I think that I need to cut down on my fat intake and just focus on clean proteins and carbs. I'll let the fats come naturally. Any specific advice in that area?

PS. Lol it didn't take me long to be convinced; I knew deep down that I would end up doing it anyways. I just like being told by trustworthy people that I'm doing what I should be doing. :P

XF is the best supp i ahve ever used hands down

warbird00 | Thu, 27 Mar 2008 23:43:00 GMT |

fats can be easily taken in from meats like steak and fish..

I eat about 2.5lbs of steak each day.. That's usually enough fat, along with whatever is in granola bars and oatmeal.

mr_aries | Thu, 27 Mar 2008 23:44:00 GMT |

X-Factor hands down best supp for building strength/mass!

Are WF/GM your staple supplements that you always use?

Run X-Factor alone if it would be your 1st time running it.
Like Aries said, if everything is in order, you will be glad you spent the $100.

PB once or twice a day is unlikely to have much of an impact on the effectiveness of AA. As long as the serving isnt too great, you should be fine...

I had very good results with X-Factor when I took it last year. I was able to put on some lean mass and trim out a bit with a clean diet. Definitely one of the best supplements I've used.

I gotta agree ^^.....not nearly enough food in there. Thats what an 11 year old gymnastics trainee eats. Get more protein...meat, more chicken, turkey....shit like that. And more calories...LOTS MORE! Otherwise the X won't give you the results you want and you'll think the product sucks.....

pnstps | Thu, 27 Mar 2008 23:51:00 GMT |

Get that diet in check before anything else.

With that said, XF is absolutely one of the best supplements on the market. It is worth every penny.

Cheers

Love xfactor, i'm currently running my third cycle of it while in a slight calorie deficit. The first cycle my gains where decent, not great but then neither was my diet, but it was good enough to run a second cycle.

The second cycle though I had great results with my cleaned up diet, and this cycle has been going good too. Im a little bit into my second bottle and just started incorporating Activate and Novedex XT and can't wait to see what the results are.

I'll be able to eat lots of tuna and chicken, etc but idk if I can afford steak. Maybe a couple times a week, but it's pretty expensive. What cut should I look into? And as for other beef, 90/10 or 93/7 ground beef ok?

I've been using Storm for quite some time. I did run a couple tubs of Shock Therapy but lost my liking for the supp. It didn't help hardly at all with the energy, even though pumps were ok. Then I got a sample of WF and GM. WOW that was an amazing workout. I didn't want to stop! I might start with the WF/GM and assess my tolerance to it for a couple weeks and then add in the XF.

I may occasionally add it to a meal and make sludge if you're familiar with SciVation's whey, PB, oats, milk combo. Sound good?

What diet improvements did you make? I want this cycle to be as productive as possible!

Don't forget dairy fats. They are an excellent source of fat, especially while using X-Factor. Going up to whole or even 2% milk and cottage cheese is a good way to get some fats in.

blech I've never liked cottage cheese... I might just have to learn to stomach it though. It's got a lot of good stuff in it.

Get that there diet in check, brother!

I value my diet above all. And after more than a few XF cycles, I've come to believe that my diet really didn't hinder my gains with XF. I just eat good, first and foremost. If there are some omega-3 enriched foods, oh well, as long as it fits my macronutrient requirements and isn't a daily occurrence...

I second the dairy notion! I drink a lot of 1% milk and Ultra Peptide... I NEED to have at least a couple UP shakes with milk each day or I get cranky and restless. Great alternative if you're too chicken to eat cottage cheese like me.

browndustin | Thu, 27 Mar 2008 23:59:00 GMT |

Im on my last week of XF, its been great, cept ive been kinda lytargic with a minor headache sometimes. But the workouts make it hella worth it.

What have your macros looked like?

They're dynamically tailored to my needs. They'll do you no good whatsoever.

For the most part, find out the amount of calories you consume on average and add a couple hundred to that. That's a good place to start. From there, learn how you respond to carbs, calories and protein (alcohol is a bad macro that you don't need btw)...
Sometimes I'll abstain from carbs for a little while to lose fat, eat more carbs for fuel, add more protein for muscle mass and always get in a decent amount of fat. I'm staying trim, gaining lots of muscle and losing fat constantly. I realized trying to hit a set number is just bullshit. Same with putting on "mass" indiscriminately and haphazardly.

All ranting aside, if you wanna make the best of things, try eating as healthy as you can consistently, because sometimes meal prep and real life can collide. Keep protein shakes handy, stay consistent and don't slip. It's a constant learning experience. Focus on doing the best you can and just make sure that you're eating enough.

Fortunately, XF sort of gives you a buffer and helps to burn fat for a lot of people. I lean out on XF with a moderate to hefty amount of surplus calories. Some friends I know can eat like slobs and always lean out substantially (lucky bastards). But don't use this as a scapegoat for maintaining nothing but a poor diet. Eat as best you can, get in at least 1.5g of protein per pound of lean body mass and shoot for a few hundred calories over maintenence to begin with. I'm not a proponent of adding 500+ calories right off the bat or something stupid like that. Slow and steady wins the race. I don't like drastic cutting or bulking.

Hit up the Nutrition forum too. When I say I do things dynamically, it's really hard to put into words. My diet and training couldn't be better right now, but everyone is different and you have to find your strong points and sharpen them. Anything that blunts your progress like eating haphazardly, missing workouts or over training needs to be stricken from your regimen. Good luck, mang.
