Have you seen this one? Some diet program. This mommy who last lost oodles of weight says "My kids think mommy is sexy."
The kids think mommy looks pretty...fine.
The kids notice I have more energy to play with them...great.
The kids think mommy is sexy...creepy and wrong.

How old are her kids? And even if they are teenagers that is just gross. My ds is 7 and he has no idea what they word sexy even means, if he even knows that word, which I don't think he does. Ewwwww

The commercial does not say how old they are, but the mom says "the kids think Mommy is sexy" in this cutesy voice that suggests to me that they are small.

Thanks for answering, the crickets were getting a little loud in here!~ :LOL

yes, dh and i talk about that one everytime we see it. my kids thinking i'm sexy is not a motivating factor to get me to lose weight. it's creepy and weird.

I haven't seen the commercial but it depends on the context. My dad i 45 and I think he is pretty darn sexy. I don't think that's creepy. I thought my dad was sexy when I was a teen. I still don't think it creepy.

I wanted to add that I wouldn't use that as motivation to do something... that IS creepy!

The creepy thing is her dancing in her bikini wearing high heeled shoes - wiggle wiggle. That's creeeepy.

There is a line for a reason.

Sometimes my grown daughters try to dress me but sexy and mom shouldn't be in the mind at the same time.

OH MY GOD!!!

This thread is SO funny!! Only because I was contemplating putting this on here but I thought people would think I was nutty or not understand why it creeped me out!!

Please don't misunderstand me, I think moms can be and are sexy, and all that--but it just creeps me out for some reason! I guess maybe like, the suggestion that it is her motivator, for her kids to think she is sexy...or like, that her kids thinking she is sexy would mean more to her than being healthy, or even saying her *husband* (or partner whatever) thought she was sexy...crap, I dunno, it was just weird to me when I heard

"My kids think mommy is sexy!!"

I know another poster said she thought her dad was sexy, but me personally, I don't see my parents as "sexy"...yes, attractive, yes, good looking, yes, I can see where OTHER people would be attracted to them etc...but to me to look at them and be like "wow, they are sexy"..just ain't happening..

On another note, not to hijack, but another commercial that KILLS MEEEEEEEEEE...I dunno if anyone has seen it..

It is a mom laying on a couch on her belly in a skirt and her son is running a car all up her thighs etc...okay, nothing wrong with that, but then he starts moving the car like bumpy on her thighs, and some voice over is like "this is no place for bumps" talking about cellulite--NONE of which this model has...and then like it cuts to her rubbing on cream etc...but then the end is her small son running his car up her thighs again and it is all *smooth* and not bumpy and she looks over at him, smiling seductively etc...

It is not so much that I see a sexual connotation with it, I don't think it is innapropriate in and of itself, I guess just the creepy implication that you would even CARE that your like, 5 year old son noticed your cellulite or something, crap, I dunno, it is just weird to me...like teaching your 5 year old son that women are supposed to be PERFECT and SMOOTH with NO cellulite...way to raise a feminist!

ARgh, commercials piss me off...
